Join us for a glimpse into the life of Iceland’s most common, and charismatic, sea mammal- the Harbour seal!
On this tour we will head out in a restored traditional Icelandic oak boat onto the Miðfjörður fjord, home of some of Iceland’s largest seal colonies and part of the
Húnafloí bay where a quarter of the Icelandic Harbour seal stock rest, hunt and play. After a seal filled journey we will visit The Icelandic Seal Center where the center’s
experienced and knowledgeable staff will take us on a tour of the museum to learn more about seal habits and habitats, as well as the role of seals in Iceland’s history and traditions.
We then walk across the harbour to the local restaurant to enjoy a beautiful lunch and conversation with a Seal Center staff member talk about seals, and learn more about the exciting and crucial
