Take this amazing chance to experience the daily life of Icelanders from these Northern fjords - living from the sea! Our tour begins in the quaint harbor town of Hvammstangi, where we will board a traditional Icelandic oak fishing boat lovingly restored to its former glory, and the perfect base from which to sail out onto the Miðfjörður fjord. Our experienced captain, with years of experience fishing these waters, will then take us to the best location to haul in the catch of herring, cod, mackerel and many other species of local sea fish. Once your buckets are full we will make our way back to harbor whilst being taught how to fillet the fish ready to be cooked and eaten.
Back on dry land we walk to the local restaurant, catch in hand and pass it over to the chef who will cook up the fish in traditional Icelandic fashion. We then sit down for a three-course meal, with your fish the star of the main course, and a glass of wine to celebrate a great day at sea!
