Sealwatching

At the farm Illugastaðir in Vatnsnes peninsula you find great sealwatching place, greate nature, campingsite and good service.

Hvítserkur is a 15 meter high basalt stack on the eastern shore of the Vatnsnes peninsula. The location is popular for seal watching as hundreds of seals often lie on the sand beach almost all year round.

The Icelandic Seal Center in Hvammstangi is a research and info center with exhibiton about seals in Iceland.
